Ground Source Heat Pumps
Ground Source Heat pumps work by taking low grade heat within the ground and converting this to high grade heat via a heat pump utilising a refrigeration cycle. This high grade heat can be used for space heating and the heating of domestic hot water heating systems. The heat pump cycle is highly efficient and delivers up to 4kw of heat energy for every kW of energy input into the system.
The systems can be integrated with solar hot water heating systems and also interface particularly well with under floor heating.
