PHOTOVOLTAIC (Solar Electricity)
-
from light outside, to power inside
HOW IT WORKS
A Photovoltaic (PV) system works by converting light in to electricity.
The PV array is connected to the consumer unit or distribution board, supplying electricity to your home or building.
The electricity produced by the PV system is monitored by an OFGEM accredited PV meter which is located between the PV array and consumer unit or distribution board.
BENEFITS
All of the electricity produced from a PV system has zero CO
2 emissions, which is becoming increasingly important for the health of our environment.
Once installed, all of the electricity produced from a PV system is free, giving a substantial financial benefit.
A growing number of energy providers are introducing green energy tariffs. When the PV system is producing more electricity than is being used, the energy provider will buy the excess, giving another financial benefit.
APPLICATIONS
Our PV systems can be retro fitted on to an existing roof or roof integrated in new build and roof renovation projects. We can also provide systems suitable for ground level or flat roof applications using aluminium mounting frames.
Systems are normally connected to the national grid, but can be standalone, off grid design.
We are able to offer a full design, supply and installation service for both residential and commercial buildings.
We only use Clear Skies approved solar equipment, so government funding is available in most cases. See the
GRANTS section for more details.
