So winter has arrived – well it certainly feels that way anyway! Winter brings with it the countdown to Christmas, cosy nights in front of the telly, homemade comfort food and the not so comforting rise in our energy bills!

Who could live without their trusty dishwashers? They are a great invention but just make sure you only switch it on when it’s full. Nearly 80% of the energy needed to power your dishwasher cycle is used to simply heat the water. You should take the same approach to putting a load of washing on or turning on the tumble drier.
Swap Your Baths for Showers
We all love sinking into a warm, bubble bath at the end of a long day, especially during the winter months but having a shower uses on a third of the energy it takes to fill a bath so try and save those indulgent baths for special occasions or for when it’s really, really cold!
