Heat Pumps

At Solartech we provide Solar Panels, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps and more. Ground Source Heat Pumps collect heat from the ground and transfer this into useable heat through a heat pump. As an example like a refrigerator it is similar in the way it functions but in reverse. The heat can be used for heating domestic water and heating an area of space with the benefits of the system delivering up to 4kW of heat energy for every kW of energy input into the system.

The alternative system to the ground source system is Air source heat pumps. Just like the ground source heat pumps they take heat and convert it into usable heat, but air source units take the heat from the air. It is however slightly less efficient compared to the ground source system as it only produces up to 3kW of heat energy for every kW of energy input into the system.

Air source heat pumps work out to be lower in cost compared to the ground source unit and it doesn’t require as much space. If you were interested in any of these systems then our designers will help you through the process of installation after they have advised you on what system will meet your requirements and being cost effective.

The government to encourage the installation uptake of renewables energy system introduced the renewable Heat Incentive. When you have a system installed it makes you eligible for payments under renewable heat incentive (RHI). An ideal and cost effective way to heat new homes would be using ground source heat pumps. Air source and ground source heat pump systems can also be integrated with solar panel systems, solar hot water heating systems and work well with under floor heating.

The renewable heat incentive allows anyone from July 29, 2011 to be entitled to receive a ‘premium payment’ of £1,250 and from October 2012 onwards they will receive on going RHI payments. For more information see ourfunding page.

From start to finish, our team can guide you through the heat pump installation process. Our years of experience within the renewable energy industry enable us to assist our customers in finding integrated solutions for combining different renewable energy technologies. This is also beneficial for our customers as it avoids duplication of costs from using individual suppliers and a single point of contact makes the process run more smoothly.

Our extensive industry contacts allow us to select the most effective heat pump systems for every different project to ensure that our clients achieve optimum performance characteristics. We also have links with leading industry brands such as Mitsubishi, Daikin and Neibe. If you live in Shrewsbury, Oswestry or Welshpool and would like to find out more about ground source heat pumps, take a moment to complete our contact form or telephone us on 0845 838 2477.

Make the most of the RHI locally

The largest town in Nort Wales, Wrexham nestles between the Welsh mountains and the Dee valley. It also has the claim to fame of being home to the UK’s first lager brewery, founded in 1882 by German immigrants. Known more to tourists for its castles, racecourse and beautiful welsh valleys.

We cover the whole of the UK and take pride in knowing our industry as well as you know your town. If you live in Wrexham, Chester or Whitchurch and would like to find out more about how renewable energy can save you money and help you live a greener lifestyle call us today on 0845 838 2477.
